Following the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and a city-wide needs assessment, Birmingham City Council is putting out an exciting grant call for local community organisations who support victims of domestic abuse, including children, in Birmingham. This funding will last for 12 months.
This grant call is now open!
The three main Lots we are looking to fund, for victims of domestic abuse and their children, are as follows:
- Provision of support within safe accommodation
- Projects that fill gaps in the city, including those found in the needs assessment (these gaps are outlined more fully in the grant guidance)
- Projects that support prevention or early intervention
They are particularly keen to hear from organisations that support victims with protected characteristics.
The successful organisations will also be collated into a file and circulated widely, in a ‘Community Grants Prospectus’, so that agencies can effectively signpost and refer into the support.
